Independence Medical Waste Disposal
Are you in Independence or the surrounding area? Do you generate medical waste of any amount? We are here for you. Many medical waste disposal companies in the area are overpriced and can’t provide the same quality of service. Along with our medical waste disposal services we can provide biohazardous pickup and sharps pickup for any amount of waste. We can also securely shred you products, your paper waste and your hard drives if needed.
Constantly Lowering Costs
In order to always provide the highest quality service at the lowest prices we take many steps to cut our costs. One of these steps is our intelligent truck routing software. This software takes in every bit of data available to route our trucks through the most efficient pickup routes. Another step we take that many medical waste disposal companies are not willing to take is we own our own disposal plant. Most medical waste companies do not want to take on the responsibility of owning a waste disposal plant and are happy to instead charge you more to pay someone else to destroy the waste.
Independence is sat in central Kenton County and bordered by the towns Covington, Erlanger and Elsemere. This town was established as a city of America in 1838 and was originally called Everett’s Creek. In 1840 the town was combined with a couple other nearby towns and was renamed it’s current day name Independence. The modern economy is fueled by manufacturing for overseas companies such as Krauss and Mazak.
Same as many towns in this area, Independence doesn’t have a hospital in the town. However, if you need basic healthcare for your family or immune shots there are clinics such as The Little Clinic. Located on Declaration Drive near the Kroger, this location accepts most insurance along with cash and cards.

Medical waste is healthcare trash that contains infectious or potentially infectious items. It can come from hospitals, medical clinics, veterinary offices, dental clinics, research facilities, or medical laboratories. It can contain blood or other bodily fluids, or it can appear benign, like gloves or gowns.
According to the Medical Waste Tracking Act of 1988, it’s defined as any waste created during treatment, testing, immunization, research, or diagnosis of human beings and animals. Examples include sharps like scalpels or needles, tissue, fluids, glassware, swabs, culture dishes, or bandages.
- Expired vaccines

The WHO identifies the 8 categories of medical waste as:

- Cytotoxic waste
- Pharmaceutical waste
- Radioactive waste
- Nonhazardous general waste
Those types cover all the potential varieties and sources of regulated and non-regulated healthcare waste.
You know hospitals and doctor’s offices create medical waste. But blood banks, dental clinics, and urgent care clinics create it too. Pharmacies, veterinary clinics, medical testing labs, research labs, nursing homes, hotels where patients stay, and funeral homes also create regulated waste.
Even an office building can generate biohazardous waste. Why? Because if someone gets a nosebleed at work and uses a tissue to stop it, they’ve created regulated waste. There was a hotel in Boston, next door to Mass General Hospital, was fined twice for medical waste violations from hotel guests.
