Grand Rapids, MI Medical Waste Disposal

Grand Rapids, MI Medical Waste Disposal. Every hospital and medical facility in general needs medical waste disposal. Without it, the costs are astronomical not only from the fees you would incur, but the damage you could inflict on your employees and patients. Medical waste disposal companies know this and are willing to charge you as much as they can because they know you need medical waste.

The truth is waste disposal doesn’t have to be expensive. By owning the whole disposal change from pickup to sterilization we are able to charge less than many other companies and offer higher quality service.

The History of Grand Rapids

Grand Rapids was incorporated in 1838 and in 1845 had a population of just fifteen hundred people where today the population is just about 200,000 citizens. Despite Detroit having the reputation as the automobile manufacturing capital of the US, Grand Rapids was actually also an early adopter to making cars. In 1901 the touring car manufacturer Austin opened their factory and headquarters in the Rapids

Though what originally got Grand Rapids its name as a manufacturing hub was its furniture manufacturing industry. The cities original nickname was actually Furniture City! Though these days the industry largely moved to North Carolina, Grand Rapids is still one of the leading furniture manufacturing hubs in the US.

Grand Rapids, MI About

Grand Rapids developed on the banks of the Grand River, where there was once a set of rapids, at an altitude of 610 feet above sea level. Ships could navigate on the river up to this fall line, stopping because of the rapids. The river valley is flat and narrow, surrounded by steep hills and bluffs. The terrain becomes more rolling hills away from the river. The countryside surrounding the metropolitan area consists of mixed forest and farmland, with large areas of orchards to the northwest.
