Fishers, IN Medical Waste Disposal. According to the EPA the risks of improper sharps disposal include “discarded needles may expose waste workers to potential needle stick injuries and potential infection when containers break open inside garbage trucks or needles are mistakenly sent to recycling facilities. Janitors and housekeepers also risk injury if loose sharps poke through plastic garbage bags. Used needles can transmit serious diseases, such as HIV and hepatitis.” This is why having proper medical waste disposal practices and training is so important. We at HWM utilize reusable sharps containers which drastically cuts down on plastic waste produced by your practice and also cuts down on costs allowing us to save you money.
Other ways we cut down your costs and actually increase your quality of service is our intelligent truck routing and the fact that we are not just haulers. Our truck routing ensures we save as much gasoline as possible (another way we help the environment) by making sure our drivers have to go the least amount of miles. A hauler is someone who just transports your waste. Healthcare Waste Management actually owns the disposal sites which lets us choose the most efficient and environmentally conscious disposal options available. We are always striving to find more and more efficient ways to dispose of your waste and save you money.
